We are big Disney fans at my house, and some of my kids’ favorite videos to watch are the fun, Disney Sing-Along Songs. They are so fun, and since they put the lyrics onscreen with the songs you and your kids can sing along! You know all those boxes you have lying around (maybe from all those great deals you have been scoring off of Amazon) turn them into cars for the kids and transform your living room into a Drive In Movie Theater. Snacks!
No movie watching experience is complete without snacks! Throw some popcorn in the microwave (if you want to stock up, check out this deal on Pop Secret Snack Size Popcorn), and grab some candy. Try choosing a special snack to go along with the movie you’re watching: Goldfish for The Little Mermaid or Finding Nemo, String Cheese for Tangled, Jelly (every flavor) Beans for the Harry Potter films, have a picnic and watch Yogi Bear, be creative and have fun with it!

So, what are you going to watch? As you have probably guessed from my list above, we are big Disney movie fans, but don’t limit yourself to that one film your kids have watched a million times (if you can recite it, you’ve seen it too much), pop in something you used to watch as a child, or pick up something from Netflix or the Redbox (check out free codes for Redbox HERE). I recently “forced” my kids to watch Mary Poppins, five minutes in they were laughing and dancing to the music.

Sunday is Earth day, and what better way to celebrate than by helping Mother Earth! It’s not just for aluminum cans and cardboard boxes. You can recycle all kinds of materials in all kinds of ways.
If you have a garage full of stuff you no longer need/use, don’t toss it in a land fill, list it on a local Freecycle site, or donate it to a local charity such as Goodwill (you can get a tax credit for charitable donations too, so it’s a win-win!).
Newspaper can be used in the garden as a weed barrier. After planting your veggies place several sheets over the exposed soil, you can then cover it with a thin layer of clean soil or mulch.
Do you get coffee grounds/beans in a bag, you can craft that empty baggie into an environmentally friendly sandwich sack. Check out the instructions HERE
