Harlem Globetrotters Discount Tickets

When I hear about the Harlem Globetrotters I think of the wacky ball artists who used to frequent Scooby Doo cartoons. As they helped solve crimes they would twirl balls on their fingers and do elaborate dribbling and passing moves to the tune of Sweet Georgia Brown. My kids know them from their visits to Sesame Street and other programs. Now we can all have the chance to see them in person at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta on March 17th at 7pm.

My kids can’t wait to go and see the silly antics and amazing feats these guys (and gals) will perform.  Yes, I said gals!  Globetrotter Fatima “TNT” Maddox is the ninth female in team history.  You go girl!

The Harlem Globetrotters are offering Mommy Octopus readers a special Family Four Pack discount offer. The Family Four Pack offer includes a free soda and hot dog with each ticket purchased (a savings of $34 or more)*. To grab this offer for you and your family click HERE.

*Valid on the $48, $38, and $27 tickets*, minimum purchase of four tickets required. Additional fees apply

Lowe’s: Build a Fun House Mirror.  Go HERE to register and make sure your kids have a spot!

ChickFilA: Kids Club from 11-2 at Atlanta Hwy, Athens.  I’m not sure what is on the plan for this week, but this should be the Kids Club weekend.

Michaels: Great Pumpkin Event – From 10-2, stop by and you can craft your own pumpkin.  Note that this requires a purchase of a craft pumpkin to participate.

Athens Saturday Events: 5/15

Well, I didn’t see anything that caught my eye as far as events for this weekend.  Let me know if you come across anything good!

I will be hosting a Shutterfly House Party on Saturday, and then probably working on the yard and getting the chicken house cleaned out.  Sounds like fun.

This would be a great weekend to go pick strawberrries with the family at either Washington Farm or Moon Farms.   We went to Moon Farms this past weekend.  The berries were awesome!  Make sure you bring an extra $3 to try their homemade icecream.  It was fantastic!

Only one more day until the weekend!  Hooray!

Updated to add:  Sue and Val let me know that it is also the Marigold Festival in Winterville.  Info HERE and HERE!

I cannot believe I forgot to post that it is also Relay for Life, which starts tomorrow at 6pm - Athens YMCA!  One of my daughter’s friends has a team – she is a cancer survivor at 7 years old and lives in Athens!  Go HERE to read about her.  Kaylee is hoping to be in the lead for money raised and is behind right now, so please donate if you can.
