I had been looking for something for the kids to take on our trip to Disney a few months back. I found these 2 packs of Contigo Trekker Kids Water bottles at a great price! I bought 2 sets so everyone has one AND as a bonus, they are different colors so no mixing up water bottles! They worked perfectly and didn’t leak in our bags. Check them out!

Whew! What a busy weekend! I need a weekend from the weekend! We went to my nephew’s birthday party, a party for one of my friend’s girls being dedicated at their church, and a pool party! Summer is non-stop around here. The baby enjoyed getting his very first taste of watermelon at one of the parties. Yummy!
Throughout all the fun we had this weekend, we remember to pray for and with those that lost loved ones in Orlando yesterday. What a horrible tragedy. We have a friend near Orlando that could have been there last night. Fortunately, he wasn’t, but several of his friends were and they were killed. Please be in prayer for the hurting families and that people will turn to Him during this time.
With a new week ahead of us, I have been working on my meal plan to use up what is in the fridge. Couple repeats from last week as we didn’t get to make everything! Here’s what I plan to make this week:
Monday: BBQ Sandwiches
Tuesday: Taco salad
Wednesday: Hamburgers, asparagus
Thursday: Spaghetti
Friday: Grilled ham and cheese, chips
Saturday: Dinner at a birthday party
Sunday: Fix your own dinner

Easy Grammar is a curriculum item that we have used during the past 2 homeschool years. Sometimes in homeschooling, grammar seems to get a little lost. I admit that we didn’t really start working on it much in the early elementary years with our oldest 2 kids, but thanks to Easy Grammar, it’s in full swing now.
Timberdoodle.com offers Easy Grammar Teacher’s Guide, Workbook, and Test Booklets at an affordable price. If you weren’t sure what to get, you could start with the Easy Grammar Teacher’s Guide. The Teacher’s Guides have the answers and tips for teaching, but also include blank workbook pages so that you can make copies for your family.
Timberdoodle.com sent me Easy Grammar Plus, which is the next one we need for my oldest homeschooler. The Easy Grammar Plus isn’t geared toward a specific grade, but will work well for grades 7 through adult! Yes, adult!
Easy Grammar Plus contains additional higher level concepts such as gerunds plus the perfect and progressive tenses. It also includes more difficult capitalization and punctuation rules. All in this one book, you will find unit reviews, unit tests, cumulative reviews, and cumulative tests. Of course my favorite part is the reproducible worksheets. Being a large family, being able to make copies of lessons saves me a ton of money.
We highly recommend Easy Grammar. I’ve seen huge improvements in my children’s writing and they understand more about grammar from using this book. We will be continuing to use it throughout their levels.
Thank you to Timberdoodle for providing us with a copy in exchange for a review.

It’s Meal Plan Monday again! We had a mediocre weekend and ended up at Regional First Care yesterday morning. The baby had a fever all night and wouldn’t nurse. Ended up having an ear infection in one ear and fluid on the other ear. He’s already feeling so much better! After not sleeping Saturday night, he was still in the best mood. I was joking that he kept us up just so he could flirt with the nurses at First Care. Silly boy! Also interesting that our nurse at First Care had on the exact same shirt that I had on! Cops for the Cure!
Here’s our meal plan this week. 2 days we are going camping and the rest we plan to just enjoy the summer!
Monday: Burgers, macaroni and cheese, watermelon
Tuesday: Eggs, sausage, biscuits
Wednesday: Southwest Chicken in the Crock Pot
Thursday: Pork roast
Friday: Sour Cream Beef Enchiladas
Saturday: Grilled Chicken and veggies
Sunday: Taco Pie
What is on your meal plan this week?

My husband isn’t an avid reader. To be honest, he only reads when he has to, however this book has grabbed his attention lately and I have found him reading it whenever possible.
That book is Wise Guys: Unlocking Hidden Wisdom from the Men Around You by Kent Evans.
For guys, more than ever, it’s a confusing world. Your GPS doesn’t offer any maps showing how to get to the point of wisdom — and who likes asking for directions anyway?
But there are ways to get that guidance you need. The answers may be all around you, in the form of guys you already know. Wise guys. More experienced guys. Better-traveled guys. Could there be ways to tap into their invaluable knowledge without enduring dull lectures or taking pages of notes?
Kent Evans has surrounded himself with these wise guys. They have shown him all the back roads on the way to wisdom. With a great deal of humor and an endless supply of stories, he wants to show you how to gather life-enriching truth from the guys in your own circle.
This book has been a huge insight into the lost art of mentorship and learning as a man to build relationships with older and wiser men so that you can learn from their character. There are exercises in the book to help along with this process.
The book features the author’s personal journey into learning to mentor others.
I haven’t finished the book yet, but I already see how this can help me as a leader and a father to help my sons develop into men. I look forward to finishing it in the coming days and definitely recommend giving it a read. I will be passing it along to another once I am done reading.
For more information, visit the Manhood Journey website or check them out on twitter. It is also available to purchase on Amazon.
