 Super Teacher Worksheets

As a homeschooling mom, I like to supplement some of our work with printable worksheets.  It can be hard to find some that are topic specific.  I love the variety of printables available with the Individual Membership from Super Teacher Worksheets.

About the Membership:

With a Super Teacher Worksheets Individual Membership, you’ll gain access to thousands of worksheets and printable materials in all sorts of subjects.  You’ll find everything from Algebra, Counting Money, Skip Counting, Writing Prompts, Spanish, and tons more!  Many subjects have lots of worksheets under them, not just a couple.

In addition to pre-made worksheets, you can also make your own printables with the printable generator tool.  For example, below I have it creating an addition worksheet with 50 problems where the addends are both between 2-10.  This is a wonderful tool since you can create as many unique worksheets as you wish instead of just printing the same thing.

For further fun, you can use the word search, bingo cards, flash cards, fill-in-the-blank or crossword puzzle generator.  This is especially helpful with remembering facts and finding a fun way to keep them fresh instead of a normal worksheet.

This program is wonderful for school teacher as well as parents that either homeschool or want to have some busy work for the kids to do on occasion.  Many of the resources are also available in Spanish, too.

Our Thoughts:

Many years ago, when I was first starting my homeschooling adventure with my oldest, we used Super Teacher Worksheets all the time.  When they moved to a being a paid subscription, I stopped using them because I wasn’t sure if it would be worth it.  Now after having the chance to view all the wonderful printables available and especially the worksheet generators, I’m wishing I had went ahead and subscribed back then!  I really like how easy it is to find and print worksheets on a number of different topics for my children.  I also like the worksheet generator so I can make learning a little more fun.

Since we received a subscription, I have used Super Teacher Worksheets for fun printables for my kids such as above, in addition to supplement work.  The girls are working on math facts, but now they can have fun coloring it and creating a picture at the same time.  This definitely is a much needed break from book work!

Something that is worth noting is that most worksheets have 2 pages that will print.  The first one is the worksheet for the child and the second page will have the answers or solutions.  If you want to save paper, make sure to adjust the options when you print to only print the first page.

For More Information:

For more information, you can visit the Super Teacher Worksheets website.  For only $19.95 per year, you can join this website and have unlimited access to all the materials.

Printable Scripture Writing Plan for Teens: Grace

About a month ago, I shared with you all that I have been enjoying scripture writing to stay in the Word.  My kids wanted to follow suit and so I created the first in our series of scripture writing for teens and tweens.  This month, I ask my older kids what they wanted the scriptures to be about and they suggested Grace.  I though that was a great idea, so I’ve spend the better part of today searching for verses.  It took a bit, but I came up with enough for this scripture writing plan.

Scripture Writing Plan

I think they will enjoy this one.  It’s the perfect length for teens and tweens to take a few moments out of the day and write.  It would be great for adults that want to try out scripture writing for the first time as well. As for myself, I really enjoy the longer writings and follow a website called Sweet Blessings for my writings.  This upcoming month, she’s created a plan about joy!  I’m really excited about that one!

Without further ado, below you will find the scripture plan.  Click on the image to download it and print.  I would love to hear any feedback.

National Police Law Enforcement Appreciation Week Ideas and Free Printables

National Police Week is sneaking back up on us again! This year, it is May 10-16, 2015. I’ve been working on putting together some new ideas in addition to our law enforcement appreciations bags from last year.  In the past year, so much negativity has been brought out towards our officers.  Being married to one, all the hatred really hurts.  There are fantastic guys and gals that go out every day to keep us all safe.  It’s great to take a few days to just say thank you and offer a little token of our appreciation.  Even a simple “Thank You” says a lot!

Family Christian Collage - Law Enforcement Appreciation Ideas

If you are looking for some great store-bought gifts for your local officers, Family Christian has a couple to consider. I recommend both the Courageous DVD and the Grace Card DVD.  We have both of these and they are fantastic.  I honestly don’t think I could pick a favorite between the two.  Both are encouraging for not only officers, but fathers as well.  Another item that I’m considering grabbing for our guys are these Beatitudes Bookmarks.  People often forget the “Blessed are the peacemakers” part.

Law Enforcement Appreciation Day All That and a Bag of Chips Pun Gift

If you prefer something homemade, I’ve put together some goodies that don’t cost as much as the bags I put together last year, but I know they will still appreciate it!  I’ve made some fun printables to go along with these so you can print and make as well.  All you need is a printer, some small bags of chips, and some kit-kats!

To download the free printable, simply click on their name below to view and print the PDF:

  • Police Appreciation Week – 2015 All That and a Bag of Chips
  • Police Appreciation Week 2015 KitKat

Here’s a photo of the Kit-Kat one.  It’s really basic but cheap enough that you could make a bunch easily.

And of course a reminder of our bags from last year:

And the printables:

  • Survival Kit for Sheriff’s Department
  • Survival Kit for Police

  • Survival Kit for Soldiers

Do you have any other ideas?  I’d love to hear them!  How are you saying “Thank You” this year?
