The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will present a variety of nature education programs for families this fall at Sandy Creek Nature Center (SCNC).
“Naturalist’s Walks” are planned for Saturdays, September 5, October 3, and November 7 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Join naturalists and discover the wonders of fall. Online registration is required at www.accgov.com/leisure Space is limited.
“Critter Tales” will take place Saturdays, September 12, October 10 and November 14 from 2:30 – 3:00p.m. Participants will hear a story about nature and then staff will bring it to life by visiting a critter or going outdoors for an activity. A different tale is read each month. No registration is required. Participants may attend in person or watch on Facebook Live.
All of these programs are free of charge. Temperature checks will be required All participants must wear a face mask. Social distancing will be implemented.
