We have been homeschooling ever since we had our oldest child nearly 19 years ago. It definitely wasn’t something I planned to do, it just happened. The Homeschool Awakening is in theaters June 13 &14! I got a preview of it and I found it very informative for anyone considering homeschooling. As a veteran homeschooling mom, I also found it interesting hearing from other homeschooling parents of why they chose the route they did and how they homeschool their kids. There isn’t a simple “one size fits all” with homeschooling.

I think that homeschooling only works for a certain type of family. I don’t think it is for everyone.

I have taught with an online school for 8 years. Things have changed a lot from when I first started. In the beginning everyone thought we were homeschool, but now they see the difference. I think this enhances home school. Parents can see and listen to all of the materials that are being taught and have a say in them.
