I hope everyone had a wonderful mother’s day weekend. It was nice here, even though my husband has been working a lot lately and worked all weekend.
My Saturday started off with a mother/daughter day at church. The girls and I had fun painting pottery and lunch with church friends. Then Saturday night was mother/son “knight” at our local chick-fil-a. Had a fun “date” with my 2 boys while the 3 girls sat just around the corner from us and had a girls dinner. Then as we went to leave, realized my keys were in the locked truck thanks to the baby needing a diaper change and me being distracted. We hung out in the chick-fil-a playground for the next bit while my real knight in shining armor finished what he was doing at work and came to my rescue. Overall fantastic day despite craziness. It’s exhausting and crazy sometimes, especially when my hubby is working, but I wouldn’t trade this mothering gig for the world.
We have an inspection on the house that we hope to buy on Tuesday. If all goes well, we will be buying it to get a little more room. If not, we will be content to stay where we are. Honestly, I’m ok with either option.
Now that it’s Monday again, it’s time to get my week in order with meal planning. Here’s what I plan to make this week:
Monday: Sour Cream Beef Enchiladas
Tuesday: Burgers, Corn on the cob, zucchini stir fry
Wednesday: Grilled chicken, broccoli, sweet potatoes
Thursday: Southwest chicken in the crockpot
Friday: black beans and rice
Saturday: Kielbasa, brussels
Sunday: leftovers
