“Movies by Moonlight Drive in Movie” at Sandy Creek Park
The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will host a free “Movies by Moonlight Drive in Movie” on Saturday, June 20 at Sandy Creek Park. The community is invited to kick off summer with the family favorite “Hook” on the large inflatable screen.
One ticket per vehicle is required. Tickets are limited to 75 vehicles and are available online at www.accgov.com/leisure from Saturday, June 13 at 9:00 a.m. until Friday, June 19 at midnight. A direct link to the tickets will be posted on social media and the Leisure Services website. Tickets will not be available on the night of the event. The park gates will open at 8:00 p.m. Cars will not be permitted into the park after 8:50 p.m. to ensure a safe and positive movie experience for all movie goers. The movie will start at 9:00 p.m.
Upon arrival, motorists will be directed to the parking area with vehicles appropriately spaced to allow for social distancing. Attendees are encouraged to wear masks and enjoy the film from inside their cars or within arm’s length of their car. Social distancing is strongly encouraged. Please bring your own refreshments. Food and beverages will not be sold or provided at the park. Restrooms will be available.
