Y’all, I am absolutely in love with this new show! Pure Flix has started the first season of Karen Kingsbury’s A Thousand Tomorrows. I just watched the first episode and I cannot wait to watch more. The show takes place along the rodeo circuit, where a cowboy with a special needs brother and a challenging family situation has to face difficulties. I have been going to rodeos since I was only a few years old and LOVE the rodeo scene.
Due to a few scenes, I would suggest this show being best for teens and above. There is a drinking scene and a scene where a character goes home with another character and it shows the next morning where clearly they have spent the night. Nothing other than that is shown, but the implication is there. I will be watching this with my teens, though, as this has some great elements for discussion. Here’s the rundown for Episode 1:
Logline: Cody and Ali are young rodeo stars with their eyes on the national championship belt. Cody would do anything to protect his brother Carl Joseph from their absent father and Ali is willing to risk it all to stay in the saddle.
The series “Karen Kingsbury’s A Thousand Tomorrows” is a show about redemption, forgiveness, devotion and transformation. Cody and Ali find a love so rare and so powerful and they make the most of everyday they have with each other.
