What a roller coaster of a week.  Today we find ourselves socially distancing at home.  It feels really hard currently because we had a week of a kid being sick with Flu A, followed by another kid getting strep, so we’ve been at home a lot already over the past month.  We are making the most of it though, with homeschooling, walks outside, and family.  As of right now, my husband has shaved his beard off to lessen the chance of getting germs in his face.  Apparently studies have shown that this is helpful.  He’s also currently on medical leave while we evaluate his health risk with his doctors.  His immune system has still been low from radiation treatments.

Hope you and your family are well and safe during this uncertain season.  I have to remind myself often that this is just a season and it will pass.

Join Zoo Atlanta for the 2020 spring Educator Appreciation Day! Educators enjoy free admission and discounts for accompanying guests on March 14, 2020.

In addition to opportunities to learn about Zoo Atlanta’s school programs, meet scientists from Georgia Tech and learn about their work connecting the movement of animals to real-life phenomenon. Georgia Tech scientists and Zoo Atlanta Educators will have a number of stations around the zoo showcasing awesome animal adaptations and what we can learn from them.
