Parents looking for a kids game that combines fun and numbers should look no further than Melon Rind’s Jump 1. It’s geared toward ages five and up and 2-4 people can play at once.
The main idea of this card game is to place a card one number higher or lower onto the middle stack. Be sure to watch out for the frog cards! They are a very helpful bonus to allow the user to play any number card from their hand. The lucky player with the least amount of cards at the end of this silly game wins!

There are two versions of this game: a “Cool & Clever” version as well as a “Fast & Furious” version. The first is where players take turns placing a card down and the latter allows all players to put down their cards one at a time without taking turns. We enjoyed both versions of play!
My Kindergartener loves playing the funny frog card as he adds and subtracts one from numbers 1-10. The pictures are bright, colorful, and fun to look at. The numbers are easy to see and amount of flies on the card match the number. As a parent, I love seeing my son practice his numbers and not realize that he’s learning. Hands down, a new favorite for our family!
