We were recently given a copy of Young Whit & the Traitor’s Treasure to review for you guys.  We are huge fans of Adventures in Odyssey so the kids were super excited to read about the adventures of young John Avery Whitaker.  This book did not disappoint.  We ended up reading the first in the Young Whit series as a read aloud with the kids.  We started reading a chapter or two a night and then ended up reading many chapters at once!  It completely drew us in and had us wanting to know what was going to happen next.

In Young Whit & the Traitor’s Treasure, John Avery Whitaker – Johnny- has recently moved to a new city where he is struggling to fit in.  Just when he finds his place, the truth of his ancestors is found out and he becomes an outcast at his school.  Throughout the book, you’ll journey along with him as they try to prove his relative innocent and clear his family name.  Our family loved this book and we are anxiously awaiting the next in the series, which comes out in 2019!
