My daughters are 4 and 6 years old. I always let them brush first, and then I go over their teeth with the toothbrush. We have a 2 minute timer, which is how long they need to brush their teeth. At night we always floss and do mouthwash. I always use funny voices to count to 30 before they can spit out the mouthwash. I try to make it fun. We always brush our teeth after we eat sugar. I also take my daughters to the dentist twice a year for a cleaning.
