It’s important to keep our mouths healthy with visiting the dentist at least twice a year.  We’ve been fortunate to find a local dentist that gets all 7 of us through fairly quickly on the same day.  So thankful for family rooms!

Did you know that your mouth is connected to your health?  Good oral health can limit your exposure to heart disease, stroke and memory loss.  It’s simple to take care of your smile health!  Check out these tips below to save your smile and your life.

If you need some assistance getting to the dentist, check out Smile Health Dental Plans.

About Smile Health Dental Plans:

We see the dentist every six months, and we’ve got one kiddo in between phases of her braces, so we also see the orthodontist every six months.

We faithfully brush our teeth daily and strive to floss as often, choose 3 different toothpastes to suit our different taste buds and needs (which makes the brushing more desirable), we make visits to the dentist twice a year without fail, and we try our best to eat a healthy diet.

My daughters are 4 and 6 years old. I always let them brush first, and then I go over their teeth with the toothbrush. We have a 2 minute timer, which is how long they need to brush their teeth. At night we always floss and do mouthwash. I always use funny voices to count to 30 before they can spit out the mouthwash. I try to make it fun. We always brush our teeth after we eat sugar. I also take my daughters to the dentist twice a year for a cleaning.
