We were recently asked to review a brand new book called Move Devotional: A Guide to Get Up and Go Forward by Brian Tome. Although it is designed for more of a personal devotion, my husband and my teenage son have been working through it together. They have really enjoyed what it addresses and helps foster some great discussions between the two of them.

Each day’s devotional is short and doesn’t require much reading and then is followed by a prayer and questions that could be used for journaling or discussion.

With Father’s Day coming up, this is a great option for men. This has some amazing reviews on Amazon from verified purchasers of this book.

About the Book:

Propel your life forward with this devotional just for men as you dig into Scripture, strengthen your prayer life, and take practical challenges designed to get you off your spiritual couch and into a more fulfilling life. Move Devotional by pastor, husband, and dad Brian Tome is perfect for any man who is tired of the status quo and wants to live a life of greater spiritual strength and power. This inspiring, accessible book includes:

  • Practical strategies for the everyday man to make positive changes in his life
  • Guidance on how to deal with real-life struggles
  • Motivation to get moving
  • Scripture, prayer prompts, and authentic stories from the author

With 70 entries about work, rest, family, purpose, prayer, spiritual growth, and more, Move Devotional is fitting for men in any season of life. Move Devotional is ideal for high school and college graduations, Father’s Day, birthdays, and New Year’s, and is an excellent gift for men who:

  • want a deeper spiritual life but don’t know where to start.
  • are facing a time of transition or looking for change in their lives.
  • are in a men’s small group and want to take practical steps together.
  • want straight talk about real life, not sugar-coated religious cliches.

About Brian Tome:

Brian Tome is the founding and senior pastor of Crossroads Church, 2017’s fastest-growing church in America. Brian has authored four books including his best-seller, The Five Marks of a Man. He also hosts The Aggressive Life podcast. As an entrepreneur, Brian has opened several other non-profits and started Man Camp, a primitive weekend camping experience that has helped tens of thousands of men reclaim the code of manhood. An avid adventure motorcyclist, Brian rides tens of thousands of miles and camps more than 30 nights a year. Brian has also released an adventure ride TV show called Phantom Lake, available on Amazon Prime. He is married with three children and lives in Cincinnati, Ohio.
