Whoa. This movie completely blew me away. We watched Cabrini this week and you buy tickets to see Cabrini in theaters starting March 8th! It’s amazing to know that this movie is based on the true story of one woman’s fight for the equality, health, and happiness of immigrant orphans.

From Alejandro Monteverde, award-winning director of ????? ?? ???????, comes the powerful epic of Francesca Cabrini, an Italian immigrant who arrives in New York City in 1889 and is greeted by disease, crime, and impoverished children. Cabrini sets off on a daring mission to convince the hostile mayor to secure housing and healthcare for society’s most vulnerable. With broken English and poor health, Cabrini uses her entrepreneurial mind to build an empire of hope unlike anything the world had ever seen.
Over the course of 34 years Cabrini established an astonishing 67 hospitals, orphanages, and schools. Her energy was fueled by an intense focus on serving Jesus in whatever he asked of her and her legacy still stands today. Cabrini was canonized in 1946 by Pope Pius XII and became the first American citizen to be named a saint. Four years later she was given the title of Patroness of Immigrants. Cabrini is the first biopic about the Patron Saint of Immigrants.
It was a little hard to keep track during parts of the movie since it uses a ton of subtitles to translate from Italian to English, but I think it also added to the movie. I do want to watch it a second time to catch anything I missed the first time. I am so fascinated by the story of Cabrini since I had never heard of her before.

We were recently sent The Action Bible: Faith in Action Edition for my 8 year old son to review. He was so excited to open the box and find this amazing Bible waiting for him. I’m always excited to find something that will help my children read the Bible more and learn more about God. In The Action Bible: Faith in Action Edition, stories are in chronological order to better help kids understand God’s redemptive story.
In addition to the book. there are Spiritual Growth Resources with over 200 devotionals, prayers, character stories, teaching videos, timelines, maps, and Bible facts. Kids and parents can access digital resources by scanning QR codes throughout the Bible. This was a pretty cool feature! He will often ask me to scan a page to learn more.
The pictures in this Bible are absolutely stunning. They quickly draw the kids in to help visualize what was really going on during that section of scriptures.

As a first responder family, we love first responder shows! My husband and I recently watched episodes 1-6 of the new “County Rescue” show available soon from Great American Pure Flix.
